    Two-time Indianapolis 500 winner and Hall of Fame auto racing driver known as “The Flying Dutchman”

    • Arie Luyendyk started racing in 1972 winning Rookie of the Year in the Dutch National Formula Vee 1300 Series followed in 1973 by winning the Dutch National Firestone Formula Ford Championship.

    • In 1977, he won the European Formula Super Vee Championship and switched to Formula 3 where he was a frontrunner as well.

      He moved to the United States in 1984 and that same year he won the United States Formula Super Vee Championship.
    • Driving for Provimi Veal Racing, Luyendyk ran his first full IndyCar season in 1985, winning the Rookie of the Year title both for the season and the Indianapolis 500 where he finished an impressive 7th.

    • His first win in IndyCar came five years later in 1990 at the most important race of the series, with a record average speed of 185.981 mph (299.307 km/h) Luyendyk won the 1990 Indianapolis 500 for Doug Shierson Racing in the Domino’s Pizza Hot One Lola T-90.

    • Nicknamed “The Flying Dutchman” Luyendyk continued to perform well at Indianapolis, scoring Pole Positions in 1993, 1997 and 1999.

      In 1996, he set the qualifying lap record at 237.498 mph, although he did not start on the pole since he qualified on the second day of time trials.
    • Arie's second Indianapolis 500 win came in 1997, starting from the pole he overtook his Treadway Racing teammate Scott Goodyear 10 laps from the end and held on for the win by .05 seconds.

    • He retired from fulltime racing after the 1999 season and including his two Indianapolis 500 victories he won a total of seven IndyCar races and had 11 more podiums throughout his IndyCar career.

    • Other notable victories include the 1998 24 Hours of Daytona in the Momo Ferrari 333SP with co-drivers Didier Theys, Gianpiero Moretti and Mauro Baldi and the 1989 12 Hours of Sebring in the Nissan GTP-ZX-T with Geoff Brabham and Chip Robinson.

    • His son, Arie Jr. was a succesful Indy Lights driver from 2001-2008 and he also competed in one Indianapolis 500 in 2006.

    • The last corner of the Dutch Grand Prix Zandvoort track where Formula One returned to race in 2021 carries his name.

      Arie was inducted into the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame in 2009 and he was also inducted into Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in 2014.
    • Since 2016 Arie has been one of IndyCar’s race stewards alongside Max Papis and enjoys that role to this day.

    • Arie resides in Scottsdale, Arizona and is married to Mieke since 1981 and together they have four children, Arie 44, Maida 37 and twins Luca and Alec 32 and 5 grandkids; Alessi 6, twins Senna and Lux 4, Niko 4 and Livvy 5 months old.

    Patrick Houlahan is the Founder and CEO of Strategic Leadership Consultants LLC. Founded in 2019, Strategic Leadership Consultants’ mission is to Build Inspired, Compassionate, Mission-Driven Leaders. Since 2019, Patrick has conducted Keynotes, led Workshops, and Consulted with numerous organizations such as State Farm, Technology Marketing Toolkit, Association of Inside Sale Professionals, and Mission Produce. Patrick has had a distinguished career in both the military and business world.

    Patrick graduated from The Citadel in 1992 and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. He was stationed in San Diego, CA. serving as a fighter pilot flying the F/A-18 Hornet and deployed twice to the Western Pacific. Patrick graduated from the United States Navy Post Graduate Fighter Weapons School, “Top Gun,” and served as an instructor pilot. In 2003, Patrick was selected as the Instructor Pilot of the Year.

    After leaving active duty in 2004, Patrick flew the A-10 Warthog with the United States Air Force Reserves and joined the Marine Corps Reserves in 2006. After returning to the Marine Corps, he established the first Reserve Training Unit and continued to serve as an Instructor Pilot. As a reservist, Patrick deployed to Al Assad, Iraq and again to the Western Pacific.

    Patrick has trained over 500 replacement aircrew, accumulated over 2800 hours of flight time, and rose to the rank of Colonel. He is a graduate of the United States Marine Corps Amphibious Warfare School, the United States Marine Corps Command and Staff College, and earned his Master of Strategic Studies as a Distinguished Graduate of the United States Army War College. Patrick has served in a variety of roles in the Marine Corps including as a Supply Officer, Maintenance Officer, Operations Officer, and Unit Officer in Charge.

    In 2004, after Patrick left active duty and joined Afterburner Inc.. Patrick quickly rose to become an Executive Consultant and Director of Seminars. In 2006 was selected as the San Diego’s MPI (Meeting Professionals International) Speaker of the Year. During his 13-year career at Afterburner, Patrick led over 450 keynotes, workshops, and consulting engagements with today's leading corporations such as Verizon, ExxonMobil, Medtronic, DOW, VMware and H&R Block to name a few.

    Patrick has also worked as the account manager for Southern California for Kratos Public Safety and Security, as the Director of Business Development for Citadel Defense Company, and as the Organizational Development Executive (ODE) for Brooks International. As an ODE, Patrick worked with numerous executive leadership teams and was responsible for gaining consensus and alignment in support of the CEO’s imperative.

    Throughout his career, Patrick recognized that the organizations that succeeded in any endeavor possessed great leaders. Those that did not, failed. Recognizing the need for leadership training, Patrick founded Strategic Leadership Consultants in 2019 to help organizations Build Inspired, Compassionate, Mission-Driven Leaders.

    Eric is an amputee endurance athlete living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He earned a mechanical engineering degree from the United States Naval Academy in 2006 while preparing for his service as a Marine Corps Infantry Officer. Eric deployed three times as a Marine and on his final tour, an incredible experience in Afghanistan, was wounded after stepping on an IED. Eric suffered the amputation of his right leg below the knee, a life-changing opportunity that began his next journey.

    Eric is an amputee endurance athlete living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He earned a mechanical engineering degree from the United States Naval Academy in 2006 while preparing for his service as a Marine Corps Infantry Officer.
